Buddhism was founded by Buddha in India in the 5th century B.C. It is one of the three major religions in the world along with Christianity and Islamism. The basic doctrines of Buddhism explain that earthly desires are the cause of any sufferings, Ideal state of mind are defined as supreme enlightenment and salvation. Buddhism was introduced into Japan in the 6th century. Many different sects rose up after then and become widespread from the nobility to the common people. Buddhism has stayed deeply in the every-day life of the Japanese and has had a significant influence on every aspect of the Japanese culture. That ‘s why it is not unusual for even non-believers to visit temples and practice many events such as funerals in Buddhism ways.
