Comic storytelling

Comic storytelling that is called Rakugo in Japanese or comic storytelling is a traditional vaudeveville performance. It has been performed since the 16th century and has enjoyed great popularity among the public. A storyteller wears a Kimono ,sits down on stage and narrates a complete story alone. He depicts different characters by using different tones of voices and exaggerated gestures . The strories are full of humor ,wit and wisdom. Most of them end with a funny punch line and a twist. A Japanese folding fun and a washcloth are often used as props for Rakugo .
