Household Shinto altar that is called Kamidana in Japanese.

Kamidana literally means a god-shelf. It is a compact Shinto altar installed or hung high on a wall in houses, offices and shops. On the shelf, there are a variety of Shinto items displayed such as miniature,

talismans and so forth. People offer sake, cooked rice and flowers and worship the deity enshrined there.
