About IKI;

Iki was an aesthetic ideal favored by the merchant class during the Edo era (1603~1867). Iki of this word originally derived from

IKUJI, which means determined and gusty . A person with Iki should have the mental toughness to accomplish things and know

both the bright and dark sides of life well. Stylish dressing, smart behavior and sophisticated coquetry is also regarded as Iki.
