Giri refer to social oblogation . One feels indebted
and obligated to return a favor to those who have
been helpful or thoughtful. Such feelings of indebtedness are called Giri. For example , the long-
standing social customs of seasonal gift-giving and
the exchanging of New Year greeting cards that is called Nengajo in Japapanese are examples of Giri.
Giri is an important Japanese ethic that binds people
