Summer greeting postcards that is called Shochu mimai in Japanese is the custom of sending greeting postcards to friends and relatives during midsummer. On the postcards, we inquire as to how the other person is coping with the summer heat. It is considered polite to mail them between July 15th and around August 7th or 8th or the beginning of fall on the lunar calendar.
