About Shinto ;
Shinto is a native religion of Japan. It is characterized by the worship of numerous gods (polytheism ), ancestors and natural phenomena.
According to Shinto principles, gods, exists in all natural objects in this world. These gods are worshipped at shrines called JINJA. There is no one-and-only founder or holly scripture. Historically, Shinto has lived together harmoniously with Buddhism and Confucianism. After the 19th century,Shinto become Japan state religion and the Emperor was deified. Many Japanese people go to a shrine to offer prayers, but most of them practice Shinto only on ritualistic occasions such as Shinto-style marriages , the birth of a baby , when you buy a new car and so on .
